EasyJet, flights start again from June 15th in Italy: national routes between eight airports and the international Brindisi-Geneva connection

Phase 2 of the flights begins EasyJet. From June 15 the airline will restart the engines of its aircraft in Italy. The recovery will be gradual, stressed EasyJet: it will start with domestic flights in eight airports that they will connect Milan Malpensa, Palermo, Catania, Bari, Naples, Lamezia Terme, Cagliari and Olbia. But there is also an international connection from Toast to Geneva.

The company will resume the routes a little at a time, he added, as they go restrictions will be loose and in line with the travel application from its customers. EasyJet also ensured that all necessary measures will be taken, such as the obligation for passengers and cabin and ground personnel to wear the mask and the suspension of the restaurant service. In addition, all aircraft will be equipped with spare health devices, including masks, gloves is disinfectant for the hands, available to passengers and crew, in case of need.

The aircraft will be subjected to one daily thorough cleaning, in addition to the one normally expected, and one disinfection integral of the cabin which guarantees the protection of surfaces from viruses for at least 24 hours. The standards have been defined in accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (Easa), respecting the indications of the government and in line with health protection rules.

EasyJet planes, the company added, are also already equipped with one filter technology: the high efficiency particulate filters purify 99.97% of the contaminants present in the cabin air, including viruses and bacteria and allow you to change the cabin air every 3-4 minutes. These are the same filter systems used in the hospitals.

“We are very happy to finally be able to fly back to Italy, albeit initially with fewer links, “he commented Lorenzo Lagorio, country manager of EasyJet Italia. “Air transport – he adds – is a fundamental service and will play a crucial role in the recovery of the country’s economy, allowing the mobility of people and companies “.

In these weeks of pandemic we journalists, if we do our job with conscience,
we do a public service. This is also why we are proud every day here at ilfattoquotidiano.it
to offer hundreds of new content for free to all citizens: news, exclusive insights,
expert interviews, surveys, videos and much more. All this work, however, has a great economic cost.
Advertising, in a time when the economy is stagnant, offers limited revenues.
Not in line with the access boom. This is why I ask those who read these lines to support us.
To give us a minimum contribution, equal to the price of a cappuccino per week,
