In a recent interview, Techland has obviously returned to talk about the controversies that have surrounded them Dying Light 2. According to the study’s Lead Game Designer, Tymon Smektala, these rumors did not compromise the development of the game, on the contrary: Dying Light 2 is almost finished. Techland is planning the final details for a big announcement that will include the release date and all the information that remains. The Polish studio wants to impress all players.
To stop the controversy surrounding the game, Techland’s Lead Game Designer Tymon Smektala He said the study offered all possible support to the PolskiGamedev.pl site, but the material provided was not used, preferring to take advantage of the “anonymous sources” that generated the case. Sources that would have talked about internal struggles, exploitation of the workforce and other factors that would have led to the derailment of the project. All false, however, for the study, which indeed is ready to announce all the details of the final stages of development.
“The development of Dying Light 2, “according to Smektala, actually”is proceeding according to our internal program which we had to modify earlier this year. We have worked hard on the game, so much so that you may find it changed. The foundations are the same, but during the development, optimization, improvements and extension of some promising aspects of the game they may have changed some individual elements.”
The work is almost however completed, only missing “the last piece“of development.”We want to surprise the players, but I don’t want to reveal anything else in order not to spoil the surprise. The only thing I can say is: please trust us, it’s the last phase of the project and we need your support, “concluded the Lead Game Designer.
There is currently no one official release date and the latest information in our possession says that the game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
