A 15-year-old girl transported her injured father by bicycle from New Delhi to her village. Now the federation has offered to participate in the selections
A marathon worthy of the toughest stage race. This is what a 15-year-old Indian girl claimed: she traveled a full twelve hundred kilometers by bicycle with her injured father sitting on the cane, to transport him from a location near New Delhi to their rural village in the state of Bihar through an India blocked by the lockdown for coronavirus. A feat that took seven days and that came to the attention of the Indian cycling federation, which offered the girl the opportunity to participate in the selections for the women’s national cycling team.
