Crew Dragon, Elon Musk’s spacecraft left from Cape Canaveral: Trump also present

The Crew Dragon left the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, Elon Musk’s SpaceX spacecraft with the two NASA astronauts, Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken on board. US President Donald Trump was also present.

Until the end, the launch was in doubt due to bad weather conditions which then improved. It is the first time in nine years that a manned spacecraft has been launched from American soil to the International Space Station.

But it is also the first time NASA sends its astronauts into space on a private spacecraft.
