ROME – Those who hoped to continue in the case of deaths and contagions without shocks, unfortunately will be disappointed for the data released today: the number of daily victims returns to over 100 units and the number of new infections increases for the data of Lombardy, which doubles in a only day. Of the 584 positive swabs detected today, most are in Lombardy, with 384 new positives (65% of today’s new infections). All pandemic charts and maps (updated daily)

All the other regions have less than ten, zero infections in the Marche, South Tyrol, Umbria, Valle d’Aosta, Basilicata.Today there are no casualties in the Marche and Abruzzo, South Tyrol, Umbria, Sardinia, Valle d’Aosta, Calabria, Molise and Basilicata.

There are 505 people in intensive care today, 16 fewer than yesterday. 7729 people are still hospitalized with symptoms, 188 less than yesterday. In home isolation 42732 people (-1772 compared to yesterday). In the past twenty-four hours 117 people have died (yesterday there were 78 victims), reaching a total of 33072 deaths.

The healed reach 147101, for an increase in 24 hours of 2443 units (2677 people were declared healed yesterday).

The drop in the sick (i.e. currently positive people) was 1976 (2358 yesterday) while 584 new infections were detected in the last 24 hours (397 yesterday). These two data must always be analyzed considering the fact that they are closely related to the number of swabs made. Today 67324 swabs were made (yesterday 57674).

The ratio between swabs made and identified cases is 1 patient for every 115.3 swabs made, 0.9%, in line with the average of the last three days.

For some days we have also added a new datum to our daily analysis: the relationship between new positives and people actually tested. Because in the data of the tampons carried out, all the tampons made are counted, even those repeated on sick people to check whether they have healed or not. This partially distorts the perception of new positives but we continue to propose it to allow comparisons with the past.

Having explained this, let’s move on to the data:

today 37299 cases have been tested (against 67324 swabs carried out) and 584 new positives have been identified. This is a positive for every 64 people, or 1.6%. A slight increase due to the increase in Lombard data.
