Coronavirus, the second update of the day on infections and hospitalizations in Padua and Veneto


In the late afternoon of Thursday 28 May Azienda Zero issued the bulletin with the second update of the day on infections and hospitalizations in the Paduan area and in Veneto.


In the province of Padua on the evening of 28 May there are 145 cases of people currently positive to Covid-19 (the total since the beginning of the emergency is 3,843, with 278 deaths between hospital and extra hospital and 3,420 virological negative, therefore recovered) in addition to a currently positive – out of the 88 total – in the Vo ‘cluster. 180, however, people in solitary confinement in the whole province. The Padua-based hospital currently sees 5 patients currently suffering from Coronavirus, all in a non-critical area. Since February 21, 315 have been dismissed and 67 have died. In the hospitals of Schiavonia and Camposampiero there are 12 hospitalized respectively, one of whom is in intensive care (272 discharged and 105 dead) and one hospitalized in a non-critical area. No new deaths in Paduan hospitals.


On the evening of May 28, the cases of people currently positive to Covid-19 registered in the region are 1,949, with 146 currently positive hospitalized of which 7 in intensive care (counting also the negativeized hospitalizations rise to 446 of which 32 in intensive care). On the other hand, 3,346 people were discharged from 21 February and 1,370 died in hospital who tested positive for the virus (which became 1,903 considered to be “extra-hospital”). Verona with 594 cases currently positive out of 5,088 in total is currently the province most affected by the infections, followed by Vicenza (355 out of 2,843 in total), Treviso (346 out of 2,657 in total), Venice (187 out of 2,656 in total), Padua (146 out of 3,931 in total, including Vo ‘), Belluno (128 out of 1,165 in total) and Rovigo (36 out of 442 in total) while 28 cases are still awaiting assignment and 317 others are domiciled outside the Veneto region.
