In the past 24 hours, 695 new cases have been recorded, bringing the total to 178,473, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. The reproductive factor of the virus, known as R with 0, rose to 0.88 on Wednesday from 0.86 the previous day, according to the latest estimate by the Robert Koch Institute. Tuesday was 0.87%, up from 0.81% the previous day.
