11:30 am – Rome, the closure of the elderly centers extended to 30 June
The mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, extended until 30 June the closure of the Senior Social Centers of Rome while it envisaged gradual reopening in residential and semi-residential structures. The ordinance also provides for the resumption of swimming pool and gym activities at Rest Homes, Co-housing, Apartment Groups, Prompt Reception Centers, Family Homes for various frailties and Casa Iride, in compliance with the rules of social distancing and without any gathering. New entries will be possible at retirement homes, co-housing, apartment groups and Casa Iride after carrying out serological tests or swabs. Relatives and visitors will be able to access residential facilities for the elderly only in the cases indicated by the structure, in compliance with the distance regulations and with the obligation of a mask and gloves. Meetings involving the participation of extraneous subjects are limited only to strictly necessary cases and with the implementation of all health prevention measures.
Spallanzani, 77 hospitalized and 461 discharged
At the moment, 77 patients are hospitalized at Spallanzani in Rome, 28 of whom are positive for Covid-19 and 49 under investigation. Eight patients need respiratory support.
