Coronavirus: Motogp, British and Australian gp canceled – Moto

The British and Australian motogp grand prix were canceled due to the persistence of the coronavirus emergency in the two host countries.
The British Grand Prix was due to take place on August 28-30 on the classic Silverstone circuit. The Australian GP was scheduled on the Phillip Island circuit from 23 to 25 October. Both races will return in 2021.
Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of the organizing company Dorna Sports said “we are saddened to have to announce the cancellation of these iconic events. Silverstone and Phillip Island are always two of the most exciting race weekends of the season, with both tracks never missing in their promise to offer some of the closest races in our league. I thank the fans for their understanding and patience as we wait for the situation to improve. We can’t wait to return to Silverstone and Phillip Island next year for more incredible battles. ”
