Coronavirus in the world, Brazil exceeds Spain by deaths. South America close to 50 thousand victims

The United States experienced 1,225 new coronavirus deaths in 24 hours, according to the daily count of Johns Hopkins University. This brings the total number of deaths in the country to over 102,000, by far the most affected by the pandemic. Since the first death of Covid-19 announced in late February, the US has recorded over 1.7 million cases. Experts, including immunologist Anthony Fauci, a White House adviser, nevertheless agree that these official reports are underestimated.

Brazil overtakes Spain

The number of coronavirus deaths in Brazil has risen to 27,878. The latest John Hopkins University update shows that the death toll in Brazil is more serious than in Spain where deaths are 27,121. Contagions in Brazil reached 438,238.
