Bonaccini: “I hope to move between regions from June 3rd”
The next step is the reopening of ‘borders’ between regions. The president of the Emilia Romagna Council sets the date for the new watershed of the Phase 2 after that of 18 May: the 3 June. But with an eye to the curve of infection from Coronavirus, because “it is clear that sooner or later this country will have to reopen at least interregional mobility, even if for work and health reasons it has always moved”, observes Bonaccini, guest today in Tagadà on La7. But “caution must still be high,” adds the governor. The effects of reopening on May 4thin fact, “they are seen now, those of Monday’s reopenings will be seen in 10-12 days. I hope that it can be reopened to everyone because if on 3 June it will reopen at all it means that the rebound of the curve has not been or it was a lot of content. ”
As for Emilia Romagna, Bonaccini confirms, “at this moment we are told that we are not at high risk, despite being the second most affected region, because the contrast measures really paid off. But we transmit our data every day to the Ministry of Health. And if the contagion curve were to grow worryingly or seriously, it is clear that there is a risk of having to close what we have reopened with great sacrifices after months “.
After Piacenza, the campaign arrives in Rimini serological screening commissioned by the Emilia Romagna Region to evaluate the spread of the virus in the most affected areas of the territory. Rapid tests will be conducted from Friday May 29 in 10 points of withdrawal of the Healthcare company distributed over the provincial territory; about 57 thousand resident citizens concerned, who will be contacted directly by Ausl Romagna.
“We go ahead with the screening program on the population that we wanted to put in place to verify the spread of the virus in Piacenza, Rimini and Medicina, the three areas of our territory that have been most affected by the epidemic- underlines the regional councilor for Health policies, Raffaele Donini -. Also in this case it is an active call, therefore the residents who are part of the program will be directly contacted by the Healthcare Company. If the test is successful, they will return to the planned path, which involves carrying out a nasopharyngeal swab as the next step. Of course – adds the commissioner – membership is voluntary, but it goes without saying that it is done in the interest of the entire community and is of undoubted importance, even more so in this phase of gradual return to normal. ”
