Compared to yesterday, there was an increase of 1 new case out of a total of 1173 swabs analyzed (0.08 percent positive out of the total). Yesterday (May 24) the positives had been 5 out of 1377 swabs analyzed (0.3 percent).
149 patients (unchanged from yesterday) are hospitalized in non-intensive therapy (12 in the province of L’Aquila, 65 in the province of Chieti, 62 in the province of Pescara and 10 in the province of Teramo), 3 (unchanged from yesterday) in intensive care (0 in the province of L’Aquila, 0 in the province of Chieti, 1 in the province of Pescara and 2 in the province of Teramo), while the others 894 (-46 compared to yesterday) they are in home isolation with active surveillance by the local health authorities (17 in the province of L’Aquila, 240 in the province of Chieti, 549 in the province of Pescara and 88 in the province of Teramo).
In the number of positive cases are also included 400 patients died (+2 compared to yesterday). The new deaths (some of which may have occurred in recent days, but whose positivity to the virus has arrived in the last 24 hours) concern an 83 year old and a 93 year old from Pescara; 1781 discharged / healed (+45 compared to yesterday, of which 201 that from symptomatic with clinical manifestations associated with Covid 19, have become asymptomatic and 1580 that have resolved the symptoms of the infection and were negative in two consecutive tests).
The currently positive in Abruzzo (calculated by subtracting the number of discharged / healed and deceased from the total positive) they are 1046, with a decrease of 46 units compared to yesterday.
Since the beginning of the Coronavirus emergency, A total of 67468 tests were performed, of which 61142 were negative.
The difference between the number of tests performed and the results is related to the fact that multiple tests are carried out on the same patient. The total also considers the number of exams taken and still in progress.
Of the total positive cases, 246 refer to the Avezzano-Sulmona-L’Aquila Local Health Authority, 818 to the Lanciano-Vasto-Chieti Local Health Authority, 1512 to the Pescara Local Health Authority and 651 to the Teramo Local Health Authority.
Today’s case refers to the Teramo ASL.
The data regards the taking charge of patients and does not necessarily coincide with their registry residence, as there are patients residing in a province who are being treated in a different provincial Local Health Authority. In addition, for clinical reasons, there are patients who have been transferred from one hospital to another, even in different ASL offices.
