Coronavirus: 300 new infections, 92 dead in 24 hours, 34 in Lombardy – Healthcare


230,158 people are infected with coronavirus in Italy, 300 more than yesterday. The figure currently includes positives, victims and healed. In Lombardy they are almost 50%, 148 more. Yesterday the national increase had been 531. The figure was disclosed by civil protection. Four regions – Umbria, Calabria, Molise and Basilicata – and the autonomous province of Bolzano register zero new infected. Only 300 new coronavirus positives found in Italy in the last 24 hours: is the lowest figure since February 29, practically from the beginning of the emergency, while taking into account that it refers to Sunday and that, as always, few swabs were made on the weekend, 35,241. The percentage of positives with respect to swabs is 0.85%, the lowest ever, as is the positive for new tested cases (excluding control swabs), at 1.4%. Basically every thousand swabs are 14 positive.

There are 92 coronavirus victims in the last 24 hours in Italy. The dead rise to 32,877. Yesterday the increase had been 50 victims, with Lombardy not reporting deaths. Today the region communicates 34. The data was made known by the Civil Protection.

However, the downward trend is confirmed: there are 55,300 coronavirus patients in Italy, 1,294 less than yesterday, when the drop was 1,158. There are 541 patients admitted to intensive care for Coronavirus, 12 less than yesterday. Of these, 196 are in Lombardy, one less than yesterday. On the other hand, 8,185 patients hospitalized with symptoms, a drop of 428 compared to yesterday, while those in home isolation are 46,574, with a drop of 854 compared to yesterday. The data was made known by the Civil Protection.

Lombardy confirms zero deaths reported yesterday: the Region confirms that the flows of the hospital network and municipal registries did not report any death on Sunday 24. So the 34 deaths reported today refer to today’s update.
