The pandemic that has complicated the plans of many manufacturers does not seem to have penalized the development plans of the BMW i4. According to two German brand engineers, the launch of this new electric car it is always set for 2021. At the moment, there would be no particular hitches that could lead to a delay on the set roadmap. This is certainly good news given that due to the freezing of the activities, some brands have had to revise the timing of the launches of some of their new models.
The Munich house is focusing heavily on this new battery-powered vehicle. The concept car on which the series model will be based was recently presented through a streaming event as the Geneva Motor Show had been canceled. Characterized by a particular design, especially on the front with a large double kidney, the car will be equipped with a powertrain capable of delivering 530 hp
which will allow lively performances.
In this sense, BMW declares a top speed of over 200 km e 4 seconds in the classic shot from 0 to 100 Km / h. On the autonomy front, the electric car will have a battery pack with 80 kWh capacity which will allow you to travel up to 600 km according to the WLTP cycle (Here our guide). It is possible, however, that in the end the vehicle can also be offered with different levels of power and autonomy. This model will be built inside the Munich plant.
