Bernezzo mourns the death of Stefania (41 years old), head of the Zampa Oasis and a great lover of animals – La Stampa

Stefania Dutto, a worker at Michelin in Cuneo, responsible for the feline colony “Oasi Zampa” at the tire factory, a long-time volunteer of the “Una Zampa per la vita” association in Vicoforte, died the other night at the Santa Croce hospital, where she was hospitalized following respiratory problems. He was 41 years old. The news aroused deep emotion a Bernezzo, where the woman had moved five years ago with her husband Massimo Musso and son Nicola, whom she leaves together with her mother Emanuela, her father Bruno, her sisters Cinzia and Chiara. It was also one of the administrators of the social page «Sei di Bernezzo se» on Facebook, which has collected many messages and testimonies of solidarity. “We are incredulous and dismayed – says the mayor, Lorenzo Bono -. The community has lost a young mother, remembered by everyone for her radiance, courtesy and helpfulness, immense love for animals, great human and professional skills. Ours is a country where we all know each other: I am sure that each of us, and those who have had the good fortune to meet Stefania, will know how to stay close to the family, helping them face this dramatic moment ».

«Saying goodbye to Stefania is impossible – add the volunteers of« A Paw for Life Odv »-: we can’t believe it, we can’t find the words, yet we have to surrender to the sad reality. We met Stefania years ago, at the beginning of our adventure as an association: the love for cats, and for animals in general, united us and approached us immediately. And it is precisely from Stefania’s will that the work of sterilization of the cats that live inside the Michelin of Cuneo started by Una Zampa per la Vita, cats that are now safe in the internal cattery created especially for them by company. And it is precisely in the cattery that Stefania, by volunteering, looked after and looked after the guest cats, together with the other volunteers operating in the structure, also taking care of the shifts, that nothing was missing from the cats, and everything else was needed, always acting as ” glue ”among all. In addition to the Michelin cattery, it operated in Cuneo and neighboring municipalities for sterilization, adoption of cats, dogs, and was available to help anyone who was in difficulty, even if further away. She has done a lot, for many animals and many people who have found secure support in her. Stefania was a great woman, a volunteer, a friend. It has left a great void in all of us, and even outside of One Paw for Life. The pain is strong and alive, but one thing is certain: Stefania will live forever in our hearts, and in those of the many cats, dogs and animals that you have helped, loved, cared for in her too short life. We are close to Massimo, Nicola and all his family in this difficult moment.
Hi Stefy, we love you ».

In addition to Michelin’s cattery commitments and the “One Paw for Life” association, Stefania Dutto for three years it was part of the community “Noi mamme di Cuneo”. The funeral will be celebrated tomorrow (Saturday), at 10 am, in the Cathedral of Cuneo. Burial will follow at the urban cemetery of the capital.
