A child of 10 years, K. B., died crushed in a dumpster of used clothes of Caritas a Bolton, in the lower Bergamo area. The accident happened in the evening, around 20 yesterday. Probably the boy was looking for clothes for himself and the family that lives in one town hall not far from the place of the tragedy. The alarm was given by a woman who, while getting into her car, saw the legs of the boy dangling from the dumpster. His condition immediately seemed very serious, reports theEco of Bergamo. The child was not conscious and the health workers, who arrived on the spot, tried in vain to revive him: the child died shortly afterwards at the Papa Giovanni hospital in Bergamo.

“He often walked barefoot,” testify some neighbors. The family, father native of the Ivory Coast, Italian mom and five children, for years had been in serious economic difficulties and is still followed by the social services. The carabinieri are reconstructing the dynamics of the accident, but it is likely that the little boy climbed towards the opening of the box to get some clothes and got stuck inside, obtaining a chest injury which turned out to be fatal. The mayor also arrived on the spot Osvaldo Palazzini.

In these weeks of pandemic we journalists, if we do our job with conscience,
we do a public service. This is also why we are proud every day here at ilfattoquotidiano.it
to offer hundreds of new content for free to all citizens: news, exclusive insights,
expert interviews, surveys, videos and much more. All this work, however, has a great economic cost.
Advertising, in a time when the economy is stagnant, offers limited revenues.
Not in line with the access boom. This is why I ask those who read these lines to support us.
To give us a minimum contribution, equal to the price of a cappuccino per week,
