Also on June 15, Austria will largely revoke the obligation to wear masks in public places, given the good epidemiological trend. They will only be worn on public transport, in the health sector (hospitals, nursing homes and pharmacies) and for services where the minimum distance of one meter cannot be respected, such as for hairdressers. Even for waiters the obligation for the moment remains in force.

From mid-June the closing hours of bars and restaurants will be extended from 11 am to 1 am. The maximum number of 4 diners for each table also expires. The famous Prater amusement park is already in operation again today. From this morning the big Ferris wheel turns again. “The wheel turns, the hotels open and life slowly returns,” commented the mayor of Vienna Michael Ludwig.
