Apple doubles the cost of RAM upgrades on the entry-level 13-inch MacBook Pro – Mac

Apple has made a change to its MacBook Pro 13 price list, a change unfortunately heavily facing upwards.

This change affects the 13-inch MacBook Pro range in its variants entry level and involves a significant increase to be able to add only 8GB of RAM, an upgrade that now in our country has the price of well 250 EURO (for only 8 GB of LPDDR3 RAM at 2133Mhz). This price has practically doubled compared to the previous cost, making it now the MacBook Pro 13 entry level an increasingly expensive machine in relation to a hardware configuration now in some ways anachronistic.

MacBook Pro RAM

By making this modification to the 1779 euro model, you get a cost close to that of the 13-inch model in the 2020 version, equipped with much more performing RAM banks LPDDR4X at 3733MHz and 10th generation processor. It remains at this point to understand what Apple’s real expectations are for these models, by virtue of a tweak of the costs that makes these devices less and less attractive.
