Anm one step away from the dissolution, resign president and secretary – La Stampa

ROME. The Board of the National Magistrates Association (ANM) is one step away from dissolution. After almost 10 hours of the Central Steering Committee, President Luca Poniz and Secretary General Giuliano Caputo resigned. On the agenda was the motion with which the independent judiciary asked for the advance in July of the elections of the Committee (set for 18, 19 and 20 October next after the first postponement linked to the coronavirus emergency), motivating it with the publication of some conversations of the “Palamara case” which would have de-legitimized the Junta involving some of its members.

Toos chaos, Poniz elected president of Anm: “Now a moral issue and careerism to be killed in the cradle”

The discussion went on for a long time and saw increasingly distant positions emerge, with the decision of the entire Area groups (of which Poniz is part) and Unicost (of which Caputo is part) to leave the Board. In the final vote, the advance of the elections was rejected (19 no, 7 yes and 8 abstentions) while the CoC was updated on Monday 25 May at 19.
