An ultralight plane crashed in the province of Rome and the two people on board died


An ultralight, that is a small sports plane, crashed in Nettuno, in the province of Rome. Republic says the accident happened near the Crazy Fly flight school; the plane would have crashed shortly after take-off, catching fire. Firefighters said the two people who were on board died. It is not known for now what caused the accident.

It is the second accident to involve a sports plane in a few days: on Monday 25 May a two-seater had fallen in the Tiber, in Rome. Of the two people on board one, the flight instructor, was rescued while the student, a 23-year-old man, had died.
