Wizz Air Flights Tirana

The airline already operates from Tirana but is now extending its presence in the Albanian capital with a new base. Starting in July, the airline will place three Airbus A320s at Tirana International Airport, Mother Teresa. The company said the establishment of the Tirana base will help create over 100 new jobs.

After three years of successful operations, we are dedicated to offering cheaper travel to our Albanian customers, while helping to strengthen the local tourism sector. Our long-term commitment to Albania, bringing further connectivity to Tirana and Albania, will help foster economic ties with other countries “Said József Váradi, CEO of the Wizz Air group.

Wizz Air began flying to Italy in 2004 and has since carried more than 40 million passengers to and from Italy on its 100 routes.

Even Kosovo on Wizz Air’s radar

József Váradi, CEO of the Hungarian group Wizz Air, yesterday announced another good news in live streaming for the Kosovars living in Italy or for those who want to visit Kosovo from Italy. From 18 July there will be three flights per week with Wizz Air from Milan Malpensa to Prishtina “Adem Jashari” Airport.

Particular attention to the pandemic

The airline said its announcements “arrive on the same day as the new era of safe travel with Wizz Air begins.”

The company has recently implemented new hygiene measurement protocols. There will be masks for both the cabin crew and the passengers. In addition, there will be an obligation for service operators to wear gloves. Aircraft undergo a regular sanitization process, with an antiviral solution.

All passengers receive sanitizing wipes when entering the aircraft, in-flight magazines have been removed and electronic payment is encouraged for any purchase on board.
