Air Dolomiti starts flying again to two dream islands

The good news relating to the recovery of tourism continues unabated. The Italian borders that are being opened, in fact, bode well that air traffic will soon return to the same flow of some time ago.

While airports draw up rules for staff and passengers in transit to ensure their health, the various airlines are beginning to reschedule existing flights and new destinations. This is the case, for example, of Tayaran Jet which has recently announced new routes that will connect wonderful Sicily with all of Italy.

But the largest Italian islands, Sicily and Sardinia, are seeing more and more connections to reach them. To announce new flights, in fact, is Air Dolomiti, Italian carrier of the Lufthansa group which will restart the engines of its planes starting from June 5 and with 3 routes that will connect the Florence airport with the main islands of our country.

More precisely, the airline will operate four frequencies a week on Catania, one of the second best cities The Guardian, Palermo, among the most sought after destinations in Sicily and Cagliari, with a dream sea and a unique historic center. Although the flight to the Sardinian capital will depart a little later than the others: on June 19th.

There are many guarantees offered by the airline for passengers: it will be possible to block the fare and pay within a period of 7 days and you can also cancel your reservation for free with refund or rebooking and without additional costs. Changes that, even in this case, must be requested within 7 days from the flight departure date.

Joerg Eberhart, CEO of Air Dolomiti, explains that the choice to start from Florence is due to the fact that this represents one of the strategic stopovers for the airline as the hubs of Munich and Frankfurt are served from here. But above all because it is in Florence that the carrier has decided to invest with the new maintenance center.

In addition, the possibility of being able to operate with Embraer 195 type aircraft and the airport’s ability to adapt quickly to the new provisions to ensure safety, have accelerated the restart operations.

Good news, therefore, for the Renaissance city that the world envies us and for the major islands of our country where between paradisiacal beaches like the Sardinian ones and pristine sea like the Sicilian one, summer can only be great.
