The descent of new coronavirus infections in Italy continues: the currently positive ones drop by 1,616 units compared to yesterday according to the Civil Protection bulletin. The total number of infections since the start of the pandemic reaches 233,019 (355 more than yesterday). The new deaths drop below 100 (75 since yesterday), while the healed are 1,874 more, in total 157,507.

Contagions, 59% in Lombardy. Total coronavirus infections are now 233,019, 355 more than yesterday, when 416 more had been registered, therefore decreasing in 24 hours. The figure currently includes positives, victims and healed. In Lombardy there are 210 more (yesterday 221), equal to 59.1% of today’s increase in Italy. The data were disclosed by the Civil Protection. There are 5 regions that communicate zero new infected: Umbria, Sardinia, Molise, Calabria and Basilicata.

Nine regions without death. No victims in 9 regions in the past 24 hours, according to Civil Protection data. They are Marche, Aosta Valley, Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Umbria, Molise, Basilicata, Calabria and Sardinia. Lombardy records 33 out of 75, 44% of the total, the only region to register a double-digit number of deaths today. The rest are all below 10 victims.
