An expansion of the regional action to combat the virus, with the search for the virus itself on people without symptoms, which is leading to important results also from the point of view of prevention. TO Bologna 22 new positive cases have been found and isolated to Coronavirus (among the 29 today in the province) in a community of homeless people in the Lazzaretto area, the Cidas Piazza Grande Capannoncino. All already transferred and isolated in two structures identified by the Municipality and the Health Company because they did not require hospital treatment. They were ‘discovered’ thanks to carpet pads made within the community and mapping has already been started to reconstruct the contacts they had, even if they are subjects with very low sociality.
And thanks to the serological screening campaign wanted by the Region, also in the province of Parma It was possible to identify 15 new totally asymptomatic positive cases: 75% of the 21 total cases registered today in Parma.
Returning to the daily update, the there are 311 new healings (19,857 in total), while active cases continue to decline, namely the number of actual sick which to date have fallen to 3,750 (-248).
Data ascertained at 12 noon today on the basis of institutional requests – relating to the trend of the epidemic in the region.
People in isolation at home, i.e. those with mild symptoms, who do not require hospital treatment, or are symptom-free, are 3,224 overall, -237 compared to yesterday. Intensive care patients are 77 (-1). Those hospitalized in the other Covid wards also decreased, to 449 (-10).
The overall healed people therefore rose to 19,857 (+311): 1,070 “clinically healed”, that is, they became asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection, and 18,787 those declared healed in all respects because they tested negative in two consecutive tests.
Unfortunately, they register 11 new deaths: 4 men and 7 women. Overall, in Emilia-Romagna they reached 4,094. The new deaths concern 1 resident in the province of Piacenza, 2 in that of Parma, 3 in that of Reggio Emilia, 4 in the province of Bologna (none in the Imola area), 1 in that of Ravenna. No deaths among residents in the provinces of Modena, Ferrara, Forlì-Cesena, Rimini and from outside the region.
These are the cases of positivity in the area, which include 22 of the facility for homelessness in Bologna and 15 from serological screening in Parma, and which instead refer not to the province of residence, but to that in which the diagnosis was made: 4,475 in Piacenza (6 more compared to yesterday), 3,504 in Parma (+21), 4,935 in Reggio Emilia (+1), 3,908 in Modena (+8), 4,604 in Bologna (+29); 394 positivity recorded in Imola (one more case), 987 in Ferrara (+1). In Romagna, cases of positivity reached 4,894 (+7 more), of which 1,024 in Ravenna (+1), 943 in Forlì (+1), 777 in Cesena (unchanged data), 2,150 in Rimini (+5) .
