2,677 healed in 24 hours


There Civil protection has issued the bulletin related to cases of coronavirus in Italy, updated at 5pm today, May 26th. The total infected since the beginning of the epidemic are now 230,555, of which 144,658 have recovered and 32,955 have died. At this moment, 52,942 people have coronaviruses in Italy.

Compared to yesterday, total cases increased by 397 patients (yesterday by 300); the currently positive ones decreased by 2,358 people (difference between cases, deaths and healed during the day); the healed have grown by 2,677 units; the deceased of 78 (including 22 in Lombardy). There are 521 ICU patients, 20 fewer than yesterday. There are 44,504 out of 52,942 people in home isolation: 84% of the total. 57,674 swabs performed in one day: the national total is now 3,539,927 swabs for a figure of 2,253,252 cases tested. In eight regions, in the last 24 hours, there have been fewer than three new infections per territory.

In detail, the currently positive cases are 24,477 in Lombardy, 6,941 in Piedmont, 4,146 in Emilia-Romagna, 2,431 in Veneto, 1,522 in Tuscany, 1,438 in Liguria, 3,538 in Lazio, 1,575 in the Marche, 1,184 in Campania, 1,539 in Puglia, 513 in the Autonomous Province of Trento, 1,430 in Sicily, 375 in Friuli Venezia Giulia, 909 in Abruzzo, 179 in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, 42 in Umbria, 224 in Sardinia, 31 in Valle d’Aosta, 238 in Calabria, 174 in Molise and 36 in Basilicata.
