Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem began conducting heat tests at the entrance to the hospital building for all visitors entering the site.
Hospital security guards, equipped with digital thermometers that measure remote heat and without human contact, question the incoming and check their body heat.
To date, only a few visitors have been refused entry, who have not completed an insulation period in their home as required by the Ministry of Health, or those with fever.
Prof. Ze’ev Rothstein, CEO of Hadassah Hospital, explains, “We are doing everything in our power to keep the health of the hospital patients and the care staff – these days especially necessary and work around the clock more intensely.”
“We prevent active Corona patients from entering the hospital in a non-standard and regulated manner,” Prof. Rothstein added.
