The Mining Sector of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, under the umbrella of “Invest in Saudi Arabia”, will participate in the annual Indaba Investment Conference (INDABA), held in Cape Town, South Africa, from February 3 to 6.

The conference is the largest global conference on mining, and this year is attended by the Presidents of South Africa and Sierra Leone, and by a number of ministers and senior mining officials from various countries of the world, in addition to major investors and heads of mining companies, banks, investment funds and international banks.

The Kingdom’s delegation participating in the conference headed by the Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudayfir includes representatives from several relevant authorities including the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the General Investment Authority, the National Program for the Development of Industrial Clusters, the Saudi Geological Survey Authority, and the Development Fund Saudi Industrial.

Engineer Al-Mudayfar will participate as a keynote speaker at the conference, where he reviews the most important strategic plans and development projects for the mining and mineral industries sector and the extent of progress in achieving them according to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, as the Kingdom participates in the exhibition accompanying the conference through its pavilion “Invest in Saudi Arabia”; For the mining sector, its initiatives and projects, and the facilities and implemented capabilities provided by the government to facilitate doing business in Saudi Arabia, for local and international investors in the mining sector in the Kingdom, as well as opening channels of communication with CP I consider foreign officials and companies to invest in the Kingdom within the framework of the strategy aimed at developing integrated metal value chains that would develop the sector by taking advantage of mineral wealth to achieve self-sufficiency and increase export opportunities and turn into a leading country in the field of metal-based materials manufacturing.

The mining field in the Kingdom is considered a fertile economic field and rich in investment opportunities, while the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources seeks to promote this concept in the Saudi investment sector.

The Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs indicated that the ministry seeks to support this field and its work to enable investors to have opportunities in the field of mining, stressing that the Kingdom has become providing investment opportunities in the field of mining supported by many factors, such as promising geological horizons with a developed access to data And clear controls, competitive conditions, increasing supply chains, and access to prosperous regional and international markets, pointing out that the Kingdom has excellent partnerships with the best mining companies in the world, and 30 centers advanced in the latest Doing Business report conducted by the World Bank Me as a result of repairs.
