the French rating plunges after the disclosure of the song by Tom Leeb

The song that will be performed by Tom Leeb for France at the Eurovision 2020 competition, unveiled on Sunday evening on France 2, is a romantic ballad half in French, half in English, entitled The Best in me.

Performed by the singer on a stage at the foot of the illuminated Eiffel Tower, the song alternates verses in French and a refrain in English proclaiming You are the best in me (“You are the best of me”).

The song was composed by the Swedish Thomas G: Son, Peter Boström and John Lundvik (already behind the song Euphoria, who won Eurovision in 2012), Tom Leeb and Lea Ivanne. However, it was not unanimous.
