Formula E: Buemi unlocks its meter in Mexico City – – Auto

Sébastien Buemi unlocked his meter in season 6 of Formula E. After three white results, the Vaudois (Nissan e.dams) finished 3rd in the Mexico e-Prix.

“Finally a good race for us and a great result for the team”exclaimed Buemi. “I’m going to savor it as much as possible after what happened here last year. It’s really special to get on the podium here. I hope it’s the start of a good series”, he continued.

In 2019, Buemi, then fighting for the podium, had to give up shortly before the end, deprived of energy.

Another Swiss scored points in Mexico: Edoardo Mortara (Venturi) finished 8th. Neel Jani (Porsche) placed 14th while Nico Müller (Geox Dragon) was the first to retire.

New Zealander Mitch Evans (Jaguar) won. He was ahead of the Portuguese Antonio Felix da Costa (Techeetah) by 4”271 and Buemi by 6”181. Evans thus takes the lead in the championship.
