In a tweet, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the decision may be taken in the coming weeks. He was thus responding to a question from a user about the availability of the software in the state of Minnesota.
A Beta version was already launched last month. This allowed an unknown number of selected Tesla drivers to test the software.
Tesla was also less positive in the news at the end of this week. The US road safety regulator is investigating 115,000 of the brand’s electric cars. There would be technical problems with the front suspension on certain models.
It was a very good week for Musk personally. His capital was significantly boosted by the excellent performance of the Tesla share, of which he is a major shareholder.
