The Cameroonian, who is considered one of the best African footballers of all time, was hit by a bus in his native country on his way home. Eto’o (39) has already announced that he is okay. According to local media, he has a head injury and is in hospital for further investigation.
Eto’o has a full honors list with gold at the Olympic Games in Sydney (2000) and two wins in the Africa Cup (2000 and 2002) with Cameroon. For his country, he scored 56 times in 118 international matches.
As a club, he won three Champions League trophies with FC Barcelona (2006 and 2009) and Inter (2010) successively. In the latter he was a teammate of Wesley Sneijder.
Eto’o stopped playing football over a year ago.
