It was already in the air before the Consultation Committee and it has now been confirmed: from Tuesday December 1 may the so-called non-essential stores open their doors again. Albeit under strict conditions. Markets may also have non-essential stalls.

A month ago, for the second time this year, the shopkeepers were forced to close the lot. Normally they would remain closed until Sunday December 13th. To avoid crowds afterwards due to Christmas purchases, the reopening is being brought forward.

To prevent infections in the shops, there are strict conditions imposed. In addition to the mouth mask obligation, only will individual shopping are allowed, with an exception for people accompanying a person in need.

In addition, shopping is limited to maximum 30 minutes. One customer will be admitted per 10 square meters of retail space. Shops with a surface of less than 20 square meters may allow a maximum of 2 customers in at the same time.

In shopping streets, shopping centers and car parks, the city or municipal council will have to arrange everything so that 1.5 meters can be kept away. Municipal authorities can decide to postpone this if they do not get this organized in time.
