More than 1,000 people in quarantine – Suriname Herald

Only two people have tested positive for the coronavirus in the past 24 hours. 52 tests were conducted and the positive citizens come from Paramaribo. According to the COVID-19 website, 1,238 people are in quarantine. The country has sixteen active cases.

Ten civilians have been admitted to various hospitals and three have been placed in the Intensive Care Unit. Furthermore, a patient has been declared cured. Three people are in isolation because they have tested positive.

Since the outbreak of the virus in March this year, 117 civilians have died, 5,307 people tested positive and 5,185 others have been declared cured.
