Tyrell Malacia is forced to drop the upcoming international matches of the Dutch Juniors. The 21-year-old defender of Feyenoord has signed out with an injury.
The nature and severity of Malacia’s injury are unknown. So it remains to be seen whether Feyenoord can call on the 21-year-old Rotterdammer again after the international match period. It is clear that he has to miss the European Championship qualifying matches of the Dutch Juniors against the peers of Belarus (November 15) and Portugal (November 18). The team of trainer Erwin van de Looi has already qualified for the European Championship in 2021.
In addition to Malacia, the Juniors will also have to miss Ryan Gravenberch, who was called up by national coach Frank de Boer for the big Orange. Van de Looi has brought Sherel Floranus (sc Heerenveen) and Azor Matusiwa (FC Groningen) into the selection as replacements.
