A gunman opened fire at six different locations in Vienna’s city center yesterday evening around eight o’clock. Four people were killed in the attack. The perpetrator himself was also shot by the police. According to the authorities, this is a convicted IS sympathizer, who was released early since December. Everything seems that the man acted alone. At least 22 were also injured, according to an update from Home Secretary Karl Nehammer. Chancellor Kurz talks about a “revolting terror attack”. • The attack started around 8 pm near a synagogue on the Seitenstettengasse. After that, shots were also fired at five other places in the city center.
