Horner critical: “Frustrating that Albon didn’t score any points”

The Red Bull Formula 1 team was left with zero points from the Italian adventure at Imola. Max Verstappen retired from second position due to a blowout. Alexander Albon fought in midfield, but spun in the final stages.

Team boss Christian Horner tries to defend Albon again, but also radiates disappointment.

“Alex had a tough race and at the restart he lost control when he was in a fight with Perez. It is very frustrating for him that he does not score points, also for the team of course,” Horner said in conversation with Sky Sports.

“We must now help him as best we can so that he will do better in Turkey.”

On Turkish soil, Horner hopes to see Red Bull at the front again: “We once won a race with no less than five pit stops. It’s an old school circuit that I’m looking forward to.”
