With maximum temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees, Saturday promises to be a sunny day, the RMI predicts. On Sunday there may be quite a lot of low clouds in Flanders and the maximums drop, from 2 to 5 degrees.
Saturday morning it becomes sunny after the local morning gray. A walk or bike ride is possible, because with a maximum of 8 to 11 degrees it becomes quite mild for the time of the year. On the Ardennes heights, the mercury can even rise to 12 degrees. The wind is mostly light from the east, shrinking to the northeast.
Saturday evening and night stays dry. Initially it is still slightly cloudy or clear, but during the night low clouds appear from the northeast. Haze or some local fog banks are possible. The minimums are between 2 degrees in the High Fens, around 1 to 2 degrees in the center and 3 degrees on the coast.
Sunday it remains dry and it becomes quite sunny south of Sambre and Maas. In the center, clearings gradually appear, but in the northwestern half of the country the low cloud cover lingers for a long time. The maxima lie between 2 and 5 degrees with a light to moderate wind from the east to the northeast. Ground frost is expected in the night from Sunday to Monday.
Monday morning there is a chance of mist and (freezing) fog. Afterwards, the cloud cover gradually increases from the coast. During the evening and at night it will rain everywhere and thunderstorms may also occur. Temperatures are between 3 and 9 degrees at the end of the day, but the precipitation zone brings milder air during the night.
Tuesday it will be partly cloudy with a chance of some showers. Cloud cover is more dominant in the east of the country and precipitation can sometimes take on a winter character in the Ardennes. The maximums fluctuate between 3 or 4 degrees in the High Fens and 9 degrees at the sea.
Wednesday it calms down, but the chance of some light precipitation remains. On the Ardennes relief, where the clouds are again somewhat more present, this precipitation can still be winters. The maxima lie between 1 degree on the High Fens and 8 degrees on the sea.
A low pressure area will be over the British Isles at the end of next week, sending new rainfall zones to our regions. The precipitation can take on a winter character in High Belgium, especially during the night of Thursday to Friday and Friday morning. The maxima are around 4 or 5 degrees in the center.
The RMI also continues to warn against CO intoxication. There are unfavorable conditions regarding the use of water heaters and fireboxes for heating premises.
