The Corona Commissioner, Prof. Roni Gamzo, yesterday proposed to the Corona Cabinet to provide a financial incentive to local authorities who will succeed in increasing the number of tests and reaching the goals that will be set before them.
The grant will amount to between a quarter and half a million shekels, News reported here.
The sums will be discussed today (Thursday) at a planned meeting between Magen Israel and the Ministries of Health and Finance, with the goal of increasing the number of tests to one million throughout the country within two weeks.
The calculation key for each authority will be the product of the number of verified infections in Corona per day by 50, for two weeks. Meeting this target will earn the network a financial incentive.
According to the Ministry of Health, the coefficient of infection with the corona virus rose this morning to 0.92, after yesterday it stood at 0.88 and yesterday at 0.84. The ministry’s data also shows that the rate of national positive tests yesterday averaged 2.4% – 6.3% in the Arab sector, 3.4% in the ultra-Orthodox sector and 1.4% in the general sector. The list of red localities now includes Majdal Shams, Masada, Buqata, Hatzor HaGlilit and Aramsha.
The Ministry of Health updated that 754 people were found positive yesterday for the corona virus, and the rate of positive tests was 2%.
