First farmers in The Hague have arrived for nitrogen protest | Inland

Many dozens of farmers were already on their way from Limburg, Groningen, Noord-Brabant, Noord-Holland and the Achterhoek on Monday evening and during the night from Monday to Tuesday, said Mark van den Oever of the farmers’ action group Farmers Defense Force (FDF) on Monday evening. During the night that could also be seen on social media.

On Tuesday morning, the farmers are holding a tractor parade past Huis ten Bosch palace in The Hague. The action group says it has permission from the municipality and the police. These authorities decided that an hour-long demonstration with tractors in front of the doors of the royal palace is not allowed on Tuesday morning.

After the tractor parade, the activists go to the Central Bureau for Food Trade CBL in Leidschendam.

Driving style

Rijkswaterstaat warns motorists to be alert to possible agricultural vehicles and recommends that they adjust their driving style if necessary. The Benoordenhoutseweg in The Hague is closed in both directions due to the demonstration, reports Rijkswaterstaat.

The protest does not cause problems on highways. The ANWB only sees some delay at Wassenaar on the A4. That is because the N44 towards The Hague was closed for some time to allow farmers to pass by with tractors.
