The South African government has now also confirmed the sad news via Twitter. There is a massive response on social media and with great disbelief. Normally, he would even return to the Belgian fields this season and start working for KSV Roeselare. But due to all the problems at the West Flemish club, which in the meantime had to file for bankruptcy, this deal was canceled.
The South African first arrived in our country in 2007 and signed for KRC Genk, which had taken him away from FC Fortune. Anele grew into one of the permanent pillars in the defense in Limburg and won, among other things, the title, two cups and a Supercup. In 2015 he was rented to the French Troyes for a year, then he continued his career in his own country at Mamelodi Sundowns. He has also completed more than 50 international matches for South Africa in the meantime.
