El Al and Etihad Airways have signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation


Air cooperation between an Israeli company and a company from the United Arab Emirates. El Al announced today (Thursday) the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Etihad Airways in order to promote extensive cooperation between the companies.

The memorandum focuses on various issues, including options for cooperation in the field of maintenance and cargo in Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi. The future agreement will include agreement to share the code on flights between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv, but also on Etihad flights from Abu Dhabi to the Far East and Elal flights from Ben Gurion Airport to Europe.

The signing of the document took place in a virtual ceremony that took place yesterday at the headquarters of the two companies. As of today, El Al announced that it is returning flights to several destinations around the world. In addition, the company has announced that it will start operating a new route to the new airport in Berlin.

The scheduled date for returning the flights is November 26, when the company will return to fly to Moscow. Flights to Berlin’s new airport “Brandenburg”, and flights to Brussels, Switzerland, will be renewed on Friday, December, in the format of two flights a week.

On December 1, the company will return to fly to Newark Airport in New Jersey, in addition to flights departing for JFK Airport in New York. Flights to Newark will be held three times during the week.

The new destinations are added to Paris, London, Los Angeles, Miami, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Kiev, Zurich and Athens, to which El Al has been flying recently.
