After two draws in a row, NEC has won another match in the Kitchen Champion Division. A resounding 0-3 victory over Young AZ gives the Nijmegen team fifth place in the competition.
After the great victory at NAC Breda on October 30, there was a draw against Helmond Sport and Roda JC. On Monday-evening, the team was able to add three more points. From the first minute, NEC was the better of the two. After twelve minutes, Ayman Sellouf took the lead.
NEC remained dominant and doubled its lead just before half-time. Soffian El Karouani gave just before the break after a tight pass from Jordy Bruijn. Elayis Tavsan headed in the 0-2. The decision came in the final phase: fifteen minutes before the end, Tavsan made his second of the evening and the third for NEC.
NEC is on 24 points after thirteen games. Young AZ is still in a disappointing nineteenth place.
