The selection of Ukraine must be quarantined by order of the health authorities in Lucerne due to a number of corona infections. According to the Ukrainian Football Association, the European federation UEFA has therefore decided to cancel the game.

Switzerland and Ukraine would meet in Lucerne, for the last game in Group 4 of the A Division in the Nations League. The Swiss are at the bottom with 3 points, Ukraine – opponent of Orange at the European Championship – has 6. The country that finishes last is relegated to the B division.

Three players and a physiotherapist received a positive test result on Tuesday morning. According to the Ukrainians, two players and the physio are an ‘old’ contamination that is now being found again.

UEFA gave the affected players permission to take action, but the Swiss authorities forbid that.
