The latest version of the CoronaMelder is able to share and receive reports of infections with corona apps from other European countries. This is evident from the latest version of the application that is in the Apple and Google app stores.
Minister Hugo de Jonge previously expressed the wish to have the CoronaMelder work together with other European corona apps by 30 November. On that day, new apps will be connected to a European collaboration, the European Federated Gateway Service, which a few countries are already using. Via a server in Luxembourg it is possible to transfer the anonymous codes between the different apps, for example with the German Corona-Warn-App and the Belgian CoronAlert app.
This European collaboration will not change the way the app works. All connected apps have the same privacy conditions.
