Riechedly Bazoer is not there during the matches of Vitesse against FC Groningen and Fortuna Sittard. The Arnhem club has accepted the KNVB’s settlement proposal for three matches – one of which is conditional.
The club reports this through official channels. Bazoer had to leave the field after an unfortunate foul on Sergio Peña. The Vitesse defender came in with a high leg and initially seemed to get away with a yellow card. After interference by the VAR, arbitrator Jeroen Manschot decided to dismiss Bazoer after all.
Vitesse did not get into trouble because of Bazoer’s red print after about half an hour of play. At that moment, the team of coach Thomas Letsch was leading 2-0 by two goals from Oussama Tannane. Just before half-time, Loïs Openda increased the lead, leaving Vitesse to rest 3-0. Emmen did not get further than a goal of honor from Michael de Leeuw in the second half.
