The Ministerial Committee for the Restricted Area unanimously approved the proposal of the Ministry of Health and the Corona Project to declare red cities as a restricted area under the Special Coronation Virus Law (Temporary Order), 5752-2020. The declaration is valid for 4 days from Sunday. – 18.10 until Wednesday 21.10.

Members of the Ministerial Committee expressed appreciation for the work of mayors and residents in the red cities who followed the guidelines and significantly reduced morbidity in many red cities. In accordance with the recommendation of the Ministry of Health, the Committee of Ministers decided to allow early childhood education for ages 0 to 6 in the red cities as well.

A team of ministers led by the Minister of Finance will convene tomorrow to anchor regulations that will protect workers from dismissal and the team will consider additional assistance to these localities to be provided by the Home Front Command and the Ministry of the Interior.

Areas where restrictions will be imposed:

(1) the municipal area of ​​Bnei Brak from Jabotinsky Street and south of it;

(2) the municipal area of ​​ridges;

(3) the municipal area of ​​Elad;

(4) Ramat Shlomo neighborhood in Jerusalem (District 4);

(5) Ramat Eshkol neighborhoods, Maalot Dafna in Jerusalem (District 5);

(6) The Metersdorf neighborhood in Jerusalem (District 9).

(7) The municipal area of ​​Beitar Illit (excluding industrial areas)

(8) The municipal area of ​​Modi’in Illit (except industrial areas)

Entry and exit from the restricted areas will be allowed for special education students, at-risk youth and educational and welfare institutions whose activities have been permitted.

It should also be noted that a plan has been formulated by the IDF for operative assistance to the authorities, in which a limited area has been declared with regard to the provision of assistance to patients and residents and assistance actions to reduce morbidity.
