‘Renders show Samsung Galaxy S21 with new camera island’

Early renders of the Samsung Galaxy S21 have appeared. The new flagship from the Korean manufacturer is expected to appear in January next year.

Read on after the ad.

‘This is the Samsung Galaxy S21’

The very reliable tasty OnLeaks already shows us a look at the new top device from Samsung. Given its reputation, it seems very likely that these renders give a good picture of the Samsung Galaxy S21. The device could also be called S30.

At first glance, little has changed at the front of the device compared to the Galaxy S20. The screen takes up almost the entire front. However, the edge at the bottom of the device seems slightly thinner and slightly thicker at the top. This gives the device a symmetrical appearance. The hole for the selfie camera may be slightly smaller, just like on the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE.

Samsung seems to say goodbye to curved screens on the Galaxy S series. On the S20, the curvature was much more limited than before, but the S21 will probably just get a completely flat display again. As a result, the bezels on the sides are slightly more visible.

A new camera island

The renders of the Samsung Galaxy S21 show a new camera island. It is now completely in the corner and folds around the edge of the device. The smartphone will have three cameras. Which these are exactly is still a surprise, but it probably involves a primary camera, ultra-wide-angle lens and a telecamera for portraits.

We also already know what the dimensions of the device are. The Galaxy S21 is 151.7 millimeters long, 71.2 millimeters wide and 7.9 millimeters thick. This makes the device almost as big as the Galaxy S20. The screen diagonal is also the same at 6.2 inches. We also expect a Plus and Ultra variant of the S21.

Earlier we read the rumor that Samsung wants to present the Galaxy S21 series earlier than normal. The smartphone would already see the light of day in January. Lekker OnLeaks confirms that news. So we only have to wait a few months for the new phones.
