Pelephone’s VP of Marketing Ilan Sigal has been appointed CEO of Golan Telecom

Cellcom’s Board of Directors announced that it approved the recommendation of CEO Avi Gabay, and appointed Ilan Siegel as CEO of Golan Telecom. Siegel will also serve as Cellcom’s Business Development Manager and a member of Cellcom’s management, and is expected to take up the position in early 2021.

Siegel, 44, has served as Pelephone’s VP of Marketing for the past five years, and for the past two years has served as VP of Marketing and Business Development at yes and Bezeq International in addition to his role at Pelephone. The latter served as director of the company’s marketing department.

CEO Avi Gabay, on Sigal’s joining the Cellcom Group: “Ilan is one of the best and most talented managers in the communications industry, and from personal acquaintance with him, I am convinced that he will bounce Golan Telecom and bring it to new places.”

Sigal said that “After 14 years at the Bezeq Group, including five years as VP of the subsidiaries, I am excited about the transition to the Cellcom Group, bringing from the experience and knowledge from the communications market, and leading Golan Telecom to new growth and highs. I would like to personally thank Ran Gurion, CEO of Pelephone, yes and Bezeq International for the trust he has placed in me and for many years of working together and professionally. ”
