ARNHEM – Over the past 24 hours, 7,305 new corona cases have been registered throughout the Netherlands. That means a slight decrease compared to the day before. Then there were 7383. In this region the number of new infections continues to grow.

645 positive tests were reported to the RIVM of residents of large parts of Gelderland, North-East Brabant, North Limburg and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. On Tuesday there were 23 fewer.

No fewer than five people were reported to have died from the corona virus in the past 24 hours. These are residents of East Gelre (2), Berkelland (2) and Nijmegen. Five residents of the region were hospitalized in one day.

Most infections in large cities

The daily figures show that the number of infections continues to increase the fastest in the large cities. In Arnhem, 71 confirmed infections were added, compared to 73 a day earlier.

In Doetinchem (23 today), West Betuwe (18) and Berg en Dal (16), more and more infections have been diagnosed in the last week.

There are 65 more corona patients in hospitals in the Netherlands than Tuesday. The total number is now 1,475, reports the National Coordination Center Patient Distribution (LCPS).
