After years of suffering and anguish, Rabbi Hillel Goldberg passed away, leaving a broken and shattered family.
The deceased grew up and was educated in the institutions of the old settlement and belongs to the community of the ultra-Orthodox community. Together with his wife he was privileged to start a glorious family, 8 children who are educated in the right way and enlighten to all around them.
His agenda was meticulous and full of Torah, prayer and grace. Every morning he would go to the hawk prayer in the Zohari Hama synagogue, and then he would dedicate himself entirely to reciting Torah and giving lessons.
In recent years he has been afflicted with a serious illness and has borne his torments with heroism and faith. His acquaintances say that even in the most difficult times, he clung to the Torah and the mitzvos, and gave his soul to his agenda, which included the Vatican prayer and the recitation of the Torah. During the last weeks of his life, his condition deteriorated until he passed away.
As mentioned, he left 8 orphans with small children and a groom before his wedding.
In addition to the great mourning and the vast space, his family was left destitute and with great debts left behind by the harsh treatments. Eight orphans and a widow are now like a ship tossing in the middle of the sea, which led his acquaintances to set up a special fund, the Goldberg Family Orphanage Fund, to help the family in their time of need.
“The family is completely broken. It is difficult to describe the great grief and loss. But we should and can help them at least in the economic field, make sure they have what they need to survive,” say the organizers of the fundraiser.
